' 3 <br /> (1) The driver has in his or her possession a written bill of lading <br /> or similar document for the next subsequent delivery or will have a <br /> pick-up order upon reaching said subsequent pick-up location(s) ; and <br /> (2) The driver has in his or her possession a written manifest or <br /> similar document which shows in clear and plain English all of the <br /> scheduled delivery or pick-up location(s) for that day; and <br /> ( 3) The distance from the first delivery or pick-up location off the <br /> truck route to the next subsequent delivery(s) or pick-up location(s) is <br /> not greater than a total of nine (9) city blocks from the first delivery <br /> or pick-up location. <br /> So long as the conditions of this section are met, it is the intent of <br /> this section to permit as many subsequent deliveries or pick-ups from the <br /> initial location which was off of the designated truck route so long as <br /> such subsequent deliveries or pick-ups are within the maximum nine (9) <br /> city block distance from the initial delivery or pick-up location. It is <br /> the further intent of this section to permit subsequent deliveries or <br /> pick-ups by the truck if such subsequent deliveries or pick-ups are on the <br /> most direct route back to the designated truck route. <br /> (d) Any truck driver who is stopped by a Police Officer on a street <br /> which is not designated as a truck route, and who does not have a written <br /> bill of lading and a written manifest or similar documents as required by <br /> sub-paragraph (c) herein, shall be in violation of this section and shall <br /> be issued a citation. <br /> (e) The Board of Public Works may designate from time to time by <br /> proper resolution specific streets or blocks thereof, where trucks are <br /> expressly prohibited due to safety reasons or engineering standards. The <br /> city shall post signs prohibiting trucks in such designated locations. <br /> Any truck driving in such prohibited areas shall be in violation of this <br /> section and shall be issued a citation. <br /> (f)-fd} No person shall stop, stand or park a truck as defined in. <br /> this-artiele Section 20-106 on any street, other than for the expeditous <br /> loading or unloading of freight, except in cases of emergency when such <br /> truck is broken down and unable to move, and except also in the event a <br /> moving van is loading or unloading furniture and household goods, or the <br /> furniture and equipment and goods, wares and merchandise of a business, in <br /> either or which events the operator of such truck will have a reasonable <br /> time in which to complete his loading or unloading and move his truck. <br /> SECTION IV. Chapter 20, Article 8, Section 20-109 is amended to <br /> read as follows: <br /> 'Flee-previsiens of-this-Article-de-net-apply-te-eehieies-eperating <br /> ti pen-traeks-er-earry.ing-passengers-for-h.iie;-operating-by-er-ruder permit <br /> er-lieexse-ef-the-Publie-Serviee-eemmissien-ef-the-State-er-ef-the <br /> interstate-eemmeree-eemmissien-of-the-United-States: The provisions of <br /> this Article do not apply to vehicles ( 1) licensed to operate upon tracks, <br /> (2) licensed to carry passengers for hire, (3) municipal government <br /> vehicles operating on official business or ( 4) public utility vehicles <br /> operating on official business. <br /> SECTION V.
