LASALLE AVE. <br />Ms. Maradik stated an application for an Encroachment and Revocable Permit has been received <br />from F.A. Wilhelm Construction for the purpose of allowing railing and raised sidewalk for <br />ADA access to be placed in the right-of-way at 350 E. LaSalle Ave. The encroachment shall <br />remain in the right of way until the time as the Board of Public Works of the City of South Bend <br />shall determine that such encroachment is in any way impairing or interfering with the highway <br />or with the free and same flow of traffic. Upon a motion made by Mr. Molnar, seconded by Mr. <br />Gathers and carried by roll call, the Revocable Permit was approved. <br />APPROVAL OF REVOCABLE PERMIT FOR ENCROACHMENT — ONE (1) PEDESTRIAN <br />BRIDGE/OVERLOOK AND ONE (1) EAST BANK TRAIL/NORTHSIDE BLVD. <br />Ms. Maradik stated an application for an Encroachment and Revocable Permit has been received <br />from Burkhart Sign Systems for the purpose of allowing two (2) Joe Kernan Memorial Trail <br />directional signs to be placed in the right-of-way one (1) at the pedestrian bridge/overlook and <br />one (1) at the East Bank Trail/Northside Blvd. The encroachment shall remain in the right of way <br />until the time as the Board of Public Works of the City of South Bend shall determine that such <br />encroachment is in any way impairing or interfering with the highway or with the free and same <br />flow of traffic. Upon a motion made by Mr. Molnar, seconded by Mr. Gathers and carried by roll <br />call, the Revocable Permit was approved. <br />UNFAVORABLE RECOMMENDATION - PETITION TO VACATE THE ALLEY <br />BETWEEN 1125-1121 BLAINE AVE. <br />Ms. Maradik indicated that Joshua Barthuly, 1125 Blaine Ave., South Bend, IN 46616, has <br />submitted a request to vacate the above referenced alley. Ms. Maradik advised the Board is in <br />receipt of unfavorable recommendations concerning this Vacation Petition from Engineering and <br />Community Investment, stating the vacation fails to meet three (3) of the I.C. 36-7-3-13 Criteria. <br />Therefore, Mr. Molnar made a motion recommending submission of an unfavorable <br />recommendation to Common Council for the request for vacation. Mr. Gathers seconded the <br />motion which carried, by roll call. <br />APPROVE/DENY TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICES <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Molnar, seconded by Mr. Gathers and carried by roll call, the <br />following traffic control device requests were approved: <br />NEW INSTALLATION: <br />LOCATION: <br />REMARKS: <br />Two (2) No Parking Signs with Left & Right Arrow <br />1124 N.
