Michigan <br /> City of South Bend <br /> REQUESTED ACTION: The petitioner is requesting a zone change from <br /> "C" Commercial , "F" Height and Area to "8" <br /> Residential , "F" Height and Area to allow the <br /> property to be used for a lodging house and <br /> professional offices. <br /> EXISTING LAND USE: The property contains a vacant building. <br /> SURROUNDING LAND USE AND ZONING: Located to the north is vacant land zoned "C" <br /> Commercial ; to the east across Michigan Street are <br /> commercial uses zoned "C" Commercial ; to the south <br /> is a tavern zoned "C" Commercial ; to the west is a <br /> manufacturing facility and a former hotel zoned <br /> "E" Heavy Industrial . <br /> SITE PLAN: A site plan is not required for rezonings <br /> initiated by Council . <br />
