• SUBSTITUTE BILL NO. ORDINANCE NO. �g� _ ---- AN ORDINANCE FIXING MAXIMUM SALARIES AND WAGES OF APPOINTED OFFICERS AND EMPLOYEES OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, FOR THE CALENDAR YEAR OF 1989. STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT Pursuant to Indiana Code Section 36-4-7-3, the Mayor fixes the compensation of each appointive officer, deputy, and other employees of the City. All such wages and salaries are subject to approval by the Common Council. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, as follows: SECTION I.
