OUTSIDE CITY LIMITS| <br />1.Be adjacent to an existing City sewer and/or water utility infrastructure; or, <br />2. The sewer and/or water service(s) must be extended at no cost to the City and at a <br />size and depth to meet future needs as established by the City Engineer. <br />(b)Health Department Exception. The St. Joseph County Health Department, with <br />agreement from the Board, has declared a public health hazard due to contaminated wells <br />or failing septic tanks so that: <br />1.The connection to City sewer and/or water is in the best interest of public health; <br />and <br />2.The parcel must be adjacent to an existing City sewer and/or water utility <br />infrastructure; or <br />3. The sewer and/or water service(s) must be extended at no cost to the City and at a <br />size and depth to meet future needs as established by the City Engineer. <br />Sec. 4 Sewer and Water Extension Map <br />The City shall maintain a digital map as depicted in Exhibit A, which is incorporated herein by <br />reference and attachment, showing parcels outside of city limits that are: <br />1.Parcels serviced by City sewer and/or water. <br />2. Parcels where the City, through a written agreement, has committed to provide <br />sewer and/or water service. <br />3.Other parcels eligible for sewer and/or water connection(s). <br />The map may be amended from time to time by the Board following conference with and <br />recommendation from both the Department of Public Works and the Department of Community <br />Investment.
