Historic Landmarks <br />1) 19109 Johnson Road - Second Reading <br />Mr. Oxian stated a landmark committee meeting will be held to <br />determine the amount of land proposed to be preserved around <br />the Hay farm. <br />Ms. Jen tof t-tl i 1 =_.en reported that a letter of notice uwas sent <br />to Mr. Hay for consent to amend the legal description. <br />2) 12594 S.R. 23 - First Reading <br />This vias deleted due to the prior discussion tabling the <br />proposal under the Environmental Impact Statement portion of <br />this meeting. <br />3) Navarre Cabin - First Reading <br />Mr. Poland stated that the Northern Indiana Historical Society <br />requested honorary landmark status for the Navarre Cabin in <br />relation to the "Hoosier Celebration" in 1958. Mr. Hayes <br />moved to bestovi honorary landmark status on the Navarre Cabin <br />by resolution; Mr. N i mtz seconded; Mr. Oxian opposed; motion <br />pa__.__.ed. <br />e. Legal <br />1) Streetliohts - Historic Districts <br />Mr. Oxian requested that the staff investigate the ownership <br />of the streetlights in Hammond. <br />The Commission requested Mr. Chapleau to draft a. letter to the <br />I & M Co. stating that they must come before the Commission <br />for a C of A regarding replacement of streetlights in historic <br />districts. <br />f. Public Relations& Community Education <br />No Report <br />g• Staff Report <br />1) Staff Activities <br />Ms. Jentoft-Nilsen reported that the staff handled 27 requests <br />for technical assistance through the month of January. The <br />Survey Records Management (SRM) staff has completed Quadrant <br />55 and is currently updating Quadrant 56. Mr. Nagy has been <br />surveying industrial sites in the Multiple Resource Area for <br />the past 4 to 5 weeks. <br />M_..
