Wayne Street <br />South Bend, It's! 46615 <br />East Wayne Street Historic District <br />PROPOSAL <br />The owner proposes to build a two story addition which <br />includes the expansion of the existing kitchen and second <br />floor bedroom. The addition will be 10 foot by 14 foot in <br />plan. The new addi t ion toi 1 1 require the removal of an <br />original L' x rear hip roof entry appendage. The root <br />will match the slope of the existing roof with the peak apex <br />approximately 1 foot lower than the existing. Eave trim and <br />gutters will match the existing as closely as possible. The <br />surface material will be brick and stucco and <br />half-timbering. The spandrel between the first and second <br />floor windows will have a double "x" half-timber pattern <br />similar to the treatment on the existing rear dormer. The <br />brick from the removed appendage and rear wall will be <br />reused in the addition. The brick will be supplemented by <br />new brick to match as closely as possible. Openings on the <br />addition will consist of: Marco casement window with muttons <br />and screens with the second floor window topped with 1 Norco <br />Arch window on the north elevation; and i Norco full view <br />door with full view side dead lights on the east elevation. <br />STANDARDS <br />III.
