Wayne Street South Bend, It's! 46615 East Wayne Street Historic District PROPOSAL The owner proposes to build a two story addition which includes the expansion of the existing kitchen and second floor bedroom. The addition will be 10 foot by 14 foot in plan. The new addi t ion toi 1 1 require the removal of an original L' x rear hip roof entry appendage. The root will match the slope of the existing roof with the peak apex approximately 1 foot lower than the existing. Eave trim and gutters will match the existing as closely as possible. The surface material will be brick and stucco and half-timbering. The spandrel between the first and second floor windows will have a double "x" half-timber pattern similar to the treatment on the existing rear dormer. The brick from the removed appendage and rear wall will be reused in the addition. The brick will be supplemented by new brick to match as closely as possible. Openings on the addition will consist of: Marco casement window with muttons and screens with the second floor window topped with 1 Norco Arch window on the north elevation; and i Norco full view door with full view side dead lights on the east elevation.
