<br /> <br />X.Comments by the Golf Operations Director <br /> <br />1. <br />Mr. Nowacki reported that the Golf courses opened on March 19 and the first customer <br />was able to play March 26 due to the weather. <br /> <br />2. <br />The computers have been updated for the new season. <br /> <br />3. <br />New water stations have been purchased. <br /> <br />4. <br />Twenty golf cars have been delivered to Erskine. <br /> <br />5. <br />The bathrooms at Studebaker are being redone. <br /> <br />6. <br />The irrigation project at Elbel has started. 7 and 8 are done and 6 will be completed <br />today. <br /> <br />7. <br />Peerless Midwest has 60% of the pumphouse project finished. <br /> <br />8. <br />Aerifying will take place at Erskine this week and in two weeks at Elbel. <br /> <br />9. <br />He distributed copies of the ads that will run in the South Bend Tribune promoting buy <br />one get one greens fees with a required cart, <br /> <br />10. <br />He distributed a copy of the brochure promoting ads on the GPS system. <br /> <br /> <br />XI.Comments by the Recreation Director <br /> <br /> <br />1. <br />Ms. O’Connor reported that softball leagues start next week. <br /> <br />2. <br />The Olympic Softball exhibition tickets sold out in two weeks. <br /> <br />3. <br />Camp Awareness registration is tomorrow. <br /> <br />4. <br />Kid’s World daycare is full. <br /> <br />5. <br />The Fit to Play camp is filling up. It will be held at Newman center. <br /> <br />6. <br />Applications for the Mayor’s Afterschool Program for 08-09 are being accepted through <br />April 30. Selections will be made in May and recommendations will be brought to the <br />Board at the May meeting. <br /> <br />7. <br />Seasonal employment is underway. <br /> <br />8. <br />The Mom & Son dance was held at the Century Center and 366 moms and sons <br />participated. <br /> <br /> <br />XII.Comments by Maintenance Superintendent <br /> <br /> <br />1. <br />Mr. Mike Dyszkiewicz informed the Board that mowing, leaf pick up and water turn ons <br />are happening <br /> <br />2. <br />Work is going on at Belleville to finish the new dugouts, adding new bleachers, and <br />repairing restroom plumbing. <br /> <br />3. <br />Quotes will be opened at the next meeting for parking lot, tennis and basketball pavement <br />repairs. <br /> <br />4. <br />Martell Electric is behind schedule with lighting installation at the Leeper Park Tennis <br />Center. <br /> <br />5. <br />Mr. Dyszkiewicz has spoken to a person regarding donation of time and materials for the <br /> - - 5 - - <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
