INTER-OFFICE MEMORANDUM <br />DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS <br />DIVISION OF ENGINEERING <br />TO: City of South Bend Board of Public Works <br />FROM: Leslie Biek, Assistant City Engineer <br />SUBJECT: Michigan Road Historic Byway Signs <br />DATE: March 16, 2021 <br />The City has been requested by the Indiana Landmarks Association to erect signs along <br />the Michigan Road Byway route within the City limits. <br />The following locations will have the signs installed: <br />Kern Rd and Michigan St – 2 signs <br />Michigan St and Western Ave – 4 signs <br />Michigan St at Washington St intersection - 2 signs <br />Washington St at Lafayette Blvd intersection - 2 signs <br />Lafayette Blvd at LaSalle Ave intersection - 2 signs <br />LaSalle Ave and Lincolnway <br />The Engineering Division is requesting permission and approval to have the Michigan <br />Byway signs signs installed along the route. The signs will be installed on the same <br />post as the Lincoln Highway signs where applicable. The Indiana Landmarks <br />Association will furnish the signs and the City will install.
