Dieter, President <br /> City of South Bend Common Council <br /> 227 W.Jefferson Boulevard,4111 Floor <br /> South Bend, Indiana 46601 <br /> RE: 2012 Year-End Budget Transfers and Additional Appropriation Ordinances <br /> Dear President Dieter, <br /> During the past several years, it has been the practice of the City of South Bend to request <br /> department heads, fiscal staff and city administration to conduct an extensive review of <br /> the status of compliance with the adopted city budget and propose necessary adjustments <br /> during the middle of the year and at year end. <br /> Based on our year-end review, we are submitting three bills for consideration by the City <br /> of South Bend Common Council: <br /> • Budget Transfer Ordinance Between Various Departments and Cost Categories <br /> • Additional Appropriation Ordinance—Civil City Funds—$4,905,363 <br /> • Additional Appropriation Ordinance—Enterprise Funds—$242,500 <br /> I will present these bills to the Common Council at the appropriate committee and <br /> council meetings. It is requested that these bills be filed for 1"reading on November 26, <br /> 2012 with 2nd reading,public hearing and 3rd reading scheduled for December 10, 2012. <br /> Thank you for your attention to this request.
