EXHIBIT "Q" <br /> ST. JOSEPH COUNTY CODE <br /> TITLE IX—GENERAL REGULATIONS <br /> CHAPTER 93—Special Services Programs <br /> Paramedic Services Program <br /> § 93.01 ESTABLISHMENT. <br /> A program to provide paramedical ambulance service to the residents of the county shall be <br /> established under the sponsorship of the county government in accordance with the provisions of <br /> this subchapter. <br /> (1981 Code, §10.20.010) (Ord. 32-76,passed- - 1976) <br /> §93.02 OPERATIONAL STANDARDS. <br /> Any county paramedic unit operating by direct county administration or by contract with St. <br /> Joseph County or by any other mode shall consist of equipment and personnel capable of <br /> performing at the highest reasonable levels in order to ensure the unit's capacity to treat the widest <br /> range of truly emergency situations. The vehicles shall meet current federal and state <br /> specifications on construction and safety for paramedic units. Equipment used by the paramedic <br /> units shall satisfy the most current requirements of the Indiana Emergency Services Commission <br /> which apply to paramedical services. Additionally,the paramedic unit shall satisfy the guidelines <br /> established by the St. Joseph County Advanced Life Support Committee, which guidelines are <br /> incorporated by reference in Exhibit"A", St. Joseph County Paramedic Guidelines,attached to <br /> Ord. 32-76,which is hereby adopted by reference as if set out in full herein. The paramedic unit <br /> must also comply with any future guideline revisions of the St. Joseph County Advanced Life <br /> Support Committee. <br /> (1981 Code, §10.20.020) (Ord 32-76,passed-- 1976) <br /> §93.03 LOCATION. <br /> Any county paramedic unit operating by direct county administration, by contract or by any other <br /> mode shall be stationed at the site or sites within St. Joseph County as will permit the unit or units <br /> to adhere to the response time standards as set forth in any specifications established by the St. <br /> Joseph County Commissioners. <br /> (1981 Code, §10.20.030) (Ord 32-76,passed-- 1976) <br /> §93.04 ADMINISTRATION. <br /> (A) Review of operations and budget planning for the paramedic program will be the <br /> responsibility of the St. Joseph County Commissioners.
