BILL NO. <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 1 et3(,-3£8 <br /> AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $100,000.00 FROM THE <br /> UNITED STATES DEPARTMENT OF INTERIOR <br /> TO THE NON-REVERTING EAST BANK TRAIL FUND 402 <br /> STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT: <br /> The Board of Park Commissioners of the City of South Bend, <br /> Indiana applied for and received $100,000.00 grant from the United <br /> States Department of the Interior (Land and Water Conservation Fund) <br /> to help finance the construction of the East Bank Trail which consists <br /> of acquiring land, grading, excavating, landscaping, paving, walkways, <br /> benches and lighting. The grant will reimburse the City for funds <br /> spent from the $111 ,949.00 East Bank Trail Fund. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br /> OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA AS FOLLOWS: <br /> SECTION I. The sum of $100,000.00 is hereby appropriated from <br /> funds received from the United States Department of the Interior to <br /> the East Bank Trail Fund. <br /> SECTION II. This Ordinance shall be in full furce and effect from <br /> and after its passage by the Common Council , its approval by the Mayor and <br /> the approval by the State Board of Tax Commissioners. <br /> - • <br /> 1 <br /> ember of the Common Council <br />
