BILL NO. <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 7410,3- 89 <br /> AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $50,000.00 <br /> FROM THE U.S. DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING AND URBAN <br /> DEVELOPMENT'S SECRETARY'S DISCRETIONARY <br /> FUND FOR THE PURPOSE OF ASSISTING IN THE <br /> EXPANSION OF THE LA SALLE PARK DISTRICT COUNCIL <br /> CHILD CARE FACILITY. <br /> STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT: <br /> In order to assure the efficient and timely utilization of the <br /> Secretary's Discretionary Fund and that the immediate needs of a specific <br /> activity are met, this appropriation is necessary. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of <br /> South Bend, Indiana: <br /> SECTION I. The sum of $50,000.00 is hereby appropriated from the U.S. <br /> Department of Housing & Urban Development Secretary's Discretionary Fund as set <br /> forth below: <br /> Purpose Amount <br /> LaSalle Park District Council $50,000.00 <br /> Child Care Facility Expansion (SDF1 ) <br /> SECTION II. No costs will be incurred or funds expended for any <br /> activities in this ordinance prior to an official release of funds received <br /> from the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development as may be <br /> required. <br /> SECTION III.
