REGULAR MEETING APRIL 28, 2008 <br /> <br /> Section II. This Resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its <br />adoption by the Council and approval by the Mayor. <br /> <br /> s/Timothy A. Rouse <br /> Member of the Common Council <br /> <br /> <br />Councilmember Puzzello made a motion to hear the substitute version of this bill. <br />Councilmember Dieter seconded the motion which carried by a voice vote of nine (9) <br />ayes. <br /> <br />th <br />Mr. Charles E. Clark, License Auditor, Department of Administration and Finance, 12 <br />Floor, County-City Building, 227 W. Jefferson Boulevard, South Bend, Indiana, made <br />the presentation for this bill. <br /> <br />Mr. Clark advised that this amended version is presented because the South Bend Police <br />Department has retracted its favorable recommendation for A-1 Auto Parts, located at <br />2104 S. Lafayette, because the applicant has not installed video surveillance equipment as <br />required by Municipal Code 4-51. <br /> <br />A Public Hearing was held on the Resolution at this time. <br /> <br />There being no one present wishing to speak to the Council either in favor of or in <br />opposition to this Resolution, Councilmember Varner made a motion to adopt this <br />Substitute Resolution. Councilmember Kirsits seconded the motion which carried and <br />the Resolution was adopted by a roll call vote of nine (9) ayes. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 3860-08 A RESOLUTION OF THE COMMON COUNCIL <br /> OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, <br /> AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO SUBMIT TO <br /> THE INDIANA FINANCE AUTHORITY AN <br /> APPLICATION FOR A SITE ASSESSMENT <br /> GRANT IN THE AMOUNT OF $27,319 FOR <br /> PROPERTY LOCATED AT 2901 S. MAIN <br /> STREET, SOUTH BEND, INDIANA AND A SITE <br /> REMEDIATION GRANT IN AN AMOUNT NOT <br /> TO EXCEED $165,000 FOR A PROPERTY <br /> LOCATED AT 2500 GREEN TECH DRIVE, <br /> SOUTH BEND, INDIANA <br /> <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Orangensaft, LLC is interested in submitting an application for a <br />Site Assessment Grant from the Indiana Finance Authority for a Phase II Site Assessment <br />at 2901 S. Main Street in South Bend, Indiana; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Site Assessment Grant Initiative Program (SAGI) requires that <br />the grant application be submitted by the political subdivision on behalf of a property <br />located within its jurisdiction; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Mother Earth, LLC is interested in submitting an application for a <br />Site Remediation Grant from the Indiana Finance Authority for environmental <br />remediation at 2500 Green Tech Drive in South Bend, Indiana; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Site Remediation Grant Program (SRG) requires that the grant <br />application be submitted by the political subdivision on behalf of a property located <br />within its jurisdiction; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Mayor of the City of South Bend, Indiana, is the Chief Executive <br />Officer of the City and is the appropriate applicant for a Site Assessment Grant and a Site <br /> 26 <br /> <br />
