rt� , <br />STANGER <br />(mjup <br />DRUG FREE WORKPLACE POLICY <br />In accordance with the Drug Free Workplace Act of 1988, The Stanger Group, Inc. hereby reaffirms its <br />policy of prohibiting the unlawful manufacture, distribution, dispensing, possession or use of a <br />controlled substance in any of the Company's workplaces. <br />This policy meets or exceeds public work project requirements set forth in IC 4-13-18-5 or IC 4-13-18-6. <br />The term "controlled substance" means any of the drugs listed in Schedules I — V of Section 202 of the <br />Controlled Substance Act. <br />As a condition of continued employment with the Company, employees are required to abide by this <br />policy. <br />Employees are also required to notify the Company within five days if convicted under any criminal drug <br />statute for a violation occurring in any of the Company's workplaces. <br />If an employee of the Company does not abide by this policy, the Company will take one of the following <br />sanctions against the employee: <br />1. Required satisfactory participation in a drug abuse assistance or rehabilitation program; or <br />2. Disciplinary action, up to and including termination. <br />While The Stanger Group does not intend to intrude into the private lives of its employees, the Company <br />recognizes an employee's off-duty use of alcohol or the Illegal off-duty use, possession, manufacture, <br />distribution or sale of drugs including prescribed medical and/or recreational marijuana allowed under <br />state law can have an impact on the workplace. An employee's off-duty involvement with illegal drugs <br />including prescribed medical and/or recreational marijuana allowed under state law or alcohol misuse <br />that: <br />1. Has adversely affected an employee's job performance, <br />2. Has had an adverse effect on the Company or, <br />3. While on -duty, has jeopardized the safety or property of other employees, customers or the public is <br />prohibited <br />If an employee refuses to test for drugs or alcohol it will be treated as a presumptive positive.
