1 , <br /> STAFF REPORT July 9, 1990 <br /> Initiated by The Area Plan Commission 1355-90 <br /> City of South Bend <br /> REOUESTED ACTION: This ordinance amends Chapter 21 , Zoning, of the Municipal <br /> Code of the City of South Bend, Indiana, as amended, to incorporate new <br /> provisions relative to floodplain regulations. <br /> In 1989 the Federal Emergency Management Agency revised the National Flood <br /> Insurance Program. The revisions change the criteria applicable to the <br /> placement or substantial improvement of manufactured homes in flood hazard <br /> areas. <br /> This ordinance, therefore, amends all pertinent Sections of the Zoning Code as <br /> they pertain to flood plains, floodways, or flood areas in the City of South <br /> Bend to incorporate the new regulations. <br />
