BILL NO. <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 870615- (k) <br /> AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $5,546 . 00 RECEIVED <br /> FROM THE STATE OF INDIANA DEPARTMENT OF HUMAN <br /> SERVICES, EMERGENCY SHELTER GRANT PROGRAM <br /> STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT: <br /> In order to deliver services to homeless individuals <br /> within our community, the City of South Bend received funds from the State <br /> of Indiana Department of Human Services for the delivery of such services <br /> through the Council of Providers of Services to the Homeless (COPOSH) and <br /> the Youth Service Bureau of St. Joseph County, Inc. The funds <br /> appropriated in this ordinance will aid in defraying the cost of providing <br /> meals at the Center for the Homeless and at the Youth Service Bureau' s <br /> Safe Station. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council <br /> of the City of South Bend, Indiana: <br /> Section I . The sum of $5, 546. 00 is hereby appropriated <br /> and allocated among accounts as set forth below: <br /> PROJECT NO.
