BILL NO. O0p-� w/� <br /> ORDINANCE NO. O p - <br /> AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $66,000.00 RECEIVED <br /> FROM THE U. S. DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING AND URBAN <br /> DEVELOPMENT' S EMERGENCY SHELTER GRANTS PROGRAM <br /> STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT: <br /> In order to deliver services to homeless individuals <br /> within our community, the City of South Bend received funds from the <br /> U. S. Department of Housing and Urban Development for the delivery of <br /> such services through the Council of Providers of Services to the <br /> Homeless (CoPOSH) and the Youth Service Bureau of St. Joseph County, <br /> Inc. The funds appropriated in this ordinance will aid in defraying <br /> the cost of operating the Center for the Homeless and the Youth <br /> Service Bureau' s Safe Station. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council <br /> of the City of South Bend, Indiana: <br /> Section I. The sum of $66,000 .00 is hereby appropriated <br /> and allocated among accounts as set forth below: <br /> PROJECT NO. DESCRIPTION AMOUNT <br /> COPOSH/ESG/90 Council of Providers of $46,000.00 <br /> Services to the Homeless <br /> YSB/ESG/90 Youth Service Bureau of 20,000.00 <br /> St. Joseph County, Inc. <br /> Total : $66, 000 .00 <br /> SECTION II.
