The Indiana Department
of Commerce has awarded the City of South Bend an Investment Incentive
Program Grant to facilitate this project; receipt of the grant proceeds
will be contingent upon the City's commitment of the funds directly to the
Miles Laboratory project.
Upon receipt, the proceeds of the Investment Incentive Program Grant will
be placed in the City's Economic Development State Grant Fund. The money
will be used for renovation of the Miles facility and equipment purchases,
as stipulated in the State Grant Agreement.
An appropriation ordinance is necessary to complete the local process.
The money will be appropriated from the Economic Development State Grant
Program Fund for the purpose indicated above, and will be administered by
the Department of Economic Development.
I would appreciate your consideration of facilitation of this matter. If
you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me at 284-9335.
SinoPrely, Y
Michelle L.
