AECOM Economics is a global leader with a history of 50+ years in analyzing and planning facilities such as convention centers, theaters, and other types of public -use facilities for this purpose. The goal of this study is to determine the economic impacts of these facilities on the downtown area as well as provide a case study of facilities in similar sized communities in regards to their operations and management. In order to expedite the process and complete the study prior to the end of the year, the proposal from AECOM was presented to the Board of Public Works with the City's Administration & Finance department covering the contract amount. Staff requests Commission approval to reimburse Administration & Finance for the Study in the amount of $15,000.
