C�J <br />SOUTH BEND REDEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />February 15, 2012 1308 County -City Building <br />10:30 a.m. 227 West Jefferson Boulevard <br />Presiding: Raphael Thomas South Bend, IN 46601 <br />The February 15, 2012 Regular Meeting of the Redevelopment Authority was called to order at <br />10:30 a.m. by its President, Raphael Thomas. There was a quorum present. <br />1. ROLL CALL <br />Members Present: Mr. Ray Thomas, President <br />Ms. Carolyn V. Pfotenhauer, Vice President <br />Member Absent: Mr. Jose Alvarez, Secretary <br />Redevelopment Staff: Ms. Elizabeth Leonard Inks, Community & Economic <br />Development <br />Ms. Jenny Hullinger, Recording Secretary <br />2. APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br />a. Approval of the minutes of January 16, 2012 <br />Upon a motion by Carolyn Pfotenhauer, seconded by Raphael Thomas, the <br />Authority approved the Minutes of the Special Meeting of January 16, 2011. <br />3. NEW BUSINESS <br />a. Certification of the South Bend Redevelopment Authority concerning Insurance <br />and Tax Liability — Blackthorn Golf Course Project. <br />Ms. Pfotenhauer would like to know who has researched these and signed off on <br />them so that the Authority can sign with confidence. Mr. Thomas said he was <br />thinking the same thing. Ms. Inks said she has researched Century Center and <br />Eddy Street Commons. Ms. Inks said she has been in constant contact with <br />Gibson Insurance concerning Eddy Street Commons. The policy expires March 1 <br />and the new one is set to go in place March 2. Ms. Pfotenhauer asked if they <br />automatically go into place and Ms. Inks said they do. The City has no tax liability <br />and all properties are insured. Ms. Pfotenhauer would like to see a better record <br />for them. Ms. Inks said we can provide that. <br />Upon a motion by Ms. Pfotenhauer, seconded by Mr. Thomas, the Authority <br />approved the certification of the South Bend Redevelopment Authority <br />concerning Insurance and Tax Liability — Blackthorn Golf Course Project. <br />
