G <br />C+J <br />14 <br />SOUTH BEND REDEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY <br />SPECIAL MEETING <br />January 16, 2012 1200 County -City Building <br />2:06 p.m. 227 West Jefferson Boulevard <br />Presiding: Raphael Thomas South Bend, IN 46601 <br />The January 16, 2012 Special Meeting of the Redevelopment Authority was called to order at <br />2:06 p.m. by its President, Raphael Thomas. There was a quorum present. <br />1. ROLL CALL <br />Members Present: Mr. Raphael Thomas, President <br />Ms. Carolyn V. Pfotenhauer, Vice President <br />Mr. Jose Alvarez, Secretary <br />Redevelopment Staff: Mr. Donald Inks, Director of Economic Development <br />Mrs. Cheryl Phipps, Recording Secretary <br />Mr. David Relos, Economic Development Specialist <br />Mr. Lawrence Meteiver, Legal Counsel <br />2. APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br />a. Approval of the minutes of December 21, 2011 <br />Mr. Thomas noted that under New Business it states "...Gil Michel, is interesting <br />in purchasing" interesting should read "interested ". He also would like the <br />property addresses listed in the minutes. Ms. Pfotenhauer also noted that Mr. <br />Sikora was not listed in those attending the meeting and he should be listed. <br />Upon a motion by Ray Thomas, seconded by Carolyn Pfotenhauer, the Authority <br />approved the Minutes of the Regular Meeting of December 21, 2011 as amended <br />with those corrections. <br />3. New Business <br />a. Redevelopment Authority approval of Resolution No. 176 authorizing the transfer <br />of real property to the South Bend Redevelopment Commission <br />Mr. Larry Meteiver said he and Dave Relos are both here to explain. Back in the <br />1990s, the Authority took title to a number of properties for a redevelopment <br />project, which didn't go forward for some reason. They are asking that those <br />properties now be transferred to the Redevelopment Commission for disposition. <br />Mr. Relos said the properties were HDC houses. Mr. Relos believes there was a <br />lease between the Authority and the Commission for the houses, and a bond <br />issued to do work in the downtown and to acquire the houses. HDC wants to <br />dispose of the properties so they will need to be transferred to the Commission to <br />
