• <br /> • <br /> • • ORDINANCE NO. y La--9 t • <br /> AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE ZONING ( RDINANCE <br /> FOR PROPERTY LOCATED AT THE NORTHEAST CORNER OF <br /> PORTAGE ROAD AND CLEVELAND ROAD <br /> IN THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA <br /> BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana: <br /> SECTION I. Ordinance No. 4990-68, as amended, which ordinance is commonly <br /> known as the Zoning Ordinance of the City of South Bend, Indiana, be and the same <br /> hereby is amended in order that the zoning classification of the following described real <br /> estate in the City of South Bend, St. Joseph County, State of Indiana: <br /> A parcel of land located in the East Half of the Southwest Quarter of <br /> Section 22, Township 38 North, Range 2 East and all being in German <br /> Township, South Bend, St. Joseph County, Indiana, and more particularly <br /> ' described as follows; Commencing at a monument found, at the Southwest <br /> corner of the Southwest Quarter of said Section 22; thence South 89°56'33" <br /> East (this and all subsequent bearings having been assumed) along the South <br /> line of said Southwest Quarter of Section 22 a distance of 2128.76 feet; <br /> thence North 00°03'27" East, at right angles to said South line of the <br /> Southwest Quarter of Section 22, a distance of 40.00 feet to a point of <br /> intersection of the right of way lines of an East/West road, now known as <br /> Cleveland Road, with a Northerly/Southerly road, now known as Portage Road, <br /> said point being 40.00 feet, measured at right angles to, North of the <br /> South line of said Southwest Quarter of Section 22 and also being 45.00 <br /> feet, measured at right angles to, Northeasterly of the centerline of said <br /> Portage Road, all as described in Deed Record 8612578, dated June 6, 1986, <br /> said point of intersection being the point of beginning of this <br /> description; thence North 23°22'51" West, parallel with and 45.00 feet <br /> Northeasterly of, measured at right angles to, the centerline of said <br /> Portage Road and being along the Northeasterly right of way line of said <br /> Portage Road, a distance of 114.00 feet; thence South 66°37'09" West, at <br /> right angles to the centerline of said Portage Road, a distance of 15.00 <br /> feet to a point on the Northeasterly right of way line of said Portage <br /> Road; thence North 23°22'51" West, parallel with and 30.00 feet, measured <br /> at right angles to, Northeasterly of the centerline of said Portage Road, a <br /> distance of. 1486.00 feet; thence North 66°37'09" East, at right angles to <br /> the centerline of said Portage Road, a distance of 781.23 feet; thence <br /> North 89°50'09" East a distance of 446.20 feet to a point on the East line <br /> .. of the Southwest Quarter of said Section 22; thence South 00°09'51" East, <br /> along the East line of said Southwest Quarter of Section 22 and also being <br /> along the West line of a proposed plat of Lilac Acres Subdivision, plat <br /> dated January 15, 1911, a distance of 1600.00 feet to a point on the North <br /> line of a tract of land conveyed by John Cripe to the residents of German <br /> Township for the purposes of a burial grounds, said conveyance being <br /> described in Record Book "H", Page 248 and dated February 20, 1844; thence <br /> North 89°56'33" West parallel with the South line of said Southwest Quarter <br /> of Section 22, a distance of 99.00 feet; thence South 00°09'51" East, <br /> parallel with the East line of said Southwest Quarter of Section 22, a <br /> distance of 184.50 feet to a point on the North right of way line of said <br /> Cleveland Road, said point being 30.00 feet North of, measured at right <br /> angles to the South line of said Southwest Quarter of Section 22; thence <br /> North 89°56'33" West, along the North right of way line of said Cleveland <br /> Road -and being parallel with and 30.00 feet North of measured at right <br /> angles to, the South line of said Southwest Quarter of Section 22, a <br /> distance of 85.28 feet; thence North 86°49'42" West, along the North right <br /> of way line of said Cleveland Road and being along a line described in a <br /> conveyance from Kathryn E.
