This change is recommended as a result of <br /> expanded responsibilities resulting from the consolidation of the <br /> County and City Building Departments. I believe the proposed salary <br /> to be more in line with increased responsibilities. <br /> As I have already discussed with the Council, the consolidation <br /> will have a positive impact on both the service to the public as well <br /> as the budget.
