SUBSTITUTE BILL <br /> ORDINANCE NO. ? ® g 1F <br /> AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $279 ,937 .00 FROM <br /> THE MOTOR VEHICLE HIGHWAY FUND FOR EQUIPMENT <br /> AND TO REINSTATE THE REDUCTION IMPOSED BY THE <br /> STATE TAX COMMISSIONERS <br /> STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT: <br /> To reinstate the State Tax Commissioner' s reduction imposed <br /> during last November' s budget hearings and to purchase 4 compactors <br /> and a forklift . The Tax Commissioners made reductions to the 1991 <br /> budget due to the uncertainty of consistent Gasoline Tax Revenues . <br /> The actual revenue received through June of this year is well above <br /> the Commissioner' s estimate. These funds are currently available in <br /> the Motor Vehicle Highway Fund. The cash balance in this fund on <br /> June 30 , 1991 was: $641, 408. 41. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE <br /> CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA AS FOLLOWS : <br /> Section I . The following sum of money is hereby appro- <br /> priated and ordered set apart from the Motor Vehicle Highway Fund <br /> for the items set forth below: <br /> ACCOUNT NO.
