Personnel and Finance Committee <br /> 2005 South Bend Common Council <br /> The August 8, 2005 meeting of the Personnel and Finance Committee was called to order by its <br /> Chairperson, Council Member Roland Kelly at 4:12 p.m. in the Council Informal Meeting <br /> Room. <br /> Persons in attendance included Council Members Dieter, Pfeifer, P»zzello, Kelly, Varner, <br /> Kuspa, Kirsits and Rouse; Citizen Member Martha Lewis, Rita Kopala, Brad Poulan, Executive <br /> Director of the Department of Community and Economic Development Sharon Kendall, Tim <br /> Williams, City Clerk John Voorde and Kathleen Cekanski-Farrand, Council Attorney. <br /> Council Member Kelly noted that the Committee Members present included Council Members <br /> Varner,Kuspa,and himself as Chairperson. <br /> Council Member Kelly then called for a presentation on Bill No. 44-05 which would approve <br /> rates to be charged at municipally owned or operated parking lots. <br /> Tim Williams of the Community & Economic Development staff made the presentation. He <br /> noted that the Board of Public Works approved a resolution in July which would set fees at$3.25 <br /> for the lot at 225 South Main and $5.00 per day for the lot at 121 South St. Joseph Street. He <br /> asked for Council approval. <br /> Council Member Kuspa made a motion, seconded by Dr. Varner that Bill No. 44-05 be <br /> recommended favorably to Council.
