Version 2/14/2020 Page - 9 Public Works Quote <br />Specification System. Where required in NECA 1000, testing and commissioning procedures <br />shall be followed prior to energizing equipment. <br />b.The actuator must be promptly installed after removal and shall be inspected and readjusted <br />according to the manufacturer’s recommendations. <br />c.As modified, the actuator shall conform to the applicable requirements of ANSI/AWWA C507. <br />d.Actuator mounting arrangements and positions shall facilitate operation and maintenance and <br />shall be confirmed by the Owner. <br />e.Splices may be made only at readily accessible locations. <br />f.Cable terminations and splices shall be made as recommended by the cable manufacturer for <br />the particular cable and service conditions. <br />g.Two or more conduits in the same general routing shall be parallel, with symmetrical bends. <br />h.Contractor shall use flexible electrical conduit to connect to the valve. <br />i.The power and communication shall be in separate conduit. <br />7.The electrical system and equipment shall be grounded in compliance with the National Electrical <br />Code. <br />8.Temporary power or relocation of existing power and control wiring, equipment, and devices shall <br />be provided as required during construction. Coordination and timing of outages shall be specified <br />with the owner 24 hours in advance and scheduling at times of low demand may be required. <br />9.Repairs shall be refinished to match the existing surrounding surfaces. <br />10.All deposits of oil, grease, mud, dirt, or debris shall be cleaned from the electrical equipment <br />following installation and field wiring. A detergent water based solution, or other liquid cleaners not <br />harmful to material or equipment finishes, shall be used as recommended by the manufacturer. <br />XIX.PLANS <br />A.
