Klosinski, P.E., Assistant City Engineer <br />SUBJECT: 120-036 WWTP Masonry Improvements Gallery Buildings 1-4 <br />(PROJ00000217; PR-00003823) <br />Agenda Request - Bid Opening <br />DATE: October 5, 2020 <br /> <br />The Department of Public Works Division of Engineering and Division of Utilities request the Board <br />of Public Works open and read bids for consideration for the subject project at its Regular Meeting <br />on October 13, 2020. <br /> <br />Background <br />The existing Gallery Buildings 1, 2, 3, and 4 masonry has deteriorated since their original <br />construction in 1954 (Gallery 1 and 2) and 1970 (Gallery 3 and 4). This project will address <br />masonry deficiencies (cracks repairs, joint replacements, lintel restoration / replacement, <br />window replacements, door replacements, and joint sealants necessary to secure the building <br />envelope and reduce the entry of moisture and leakage into the buildings during rain events. <br />Gallery 4 will also receive a new TPO membrane roof. Gallery 1, 2, and 3 roofs were replaced <br />in 2013-14 and will not require any roof work during construction. In addition to the above <br />scope of work, abandoned mechanical systems and equipment will be demolished as part of the <br />renovation work. <br /> <br />This work will follow the new motor control center installations for the WWTP Electrical <br />Improvements project. <br /> <br />DFO Project: PROJ00000217 <br />DFO Purchase Requisition PR-00003823 <br /> <br />Funding: Sewage Works Building Repair and Maintenance Account 641-06-605-514-436001. <br /> <br />Bid Opening Date: October 13, 2020 <br />Bid Award (tentative): October 27, 2020 <br /> <br />For questions regarding the subject agenda request, contact Jacob M.
