Emergency Vehicle Sales and Service <br />November 10, 2020 <br />Bid Exceptions — South Bend Ambulance <br />1.6 Delivery. Addendum has eliminated the delivery clause within the specification. With the pandemic causing <br />supply chain and labor issues, we cannot agree to any specific delivery time, nor will we agree to any delivery <br />enal . We can provide the following, Freightliner chassis build time is 16 weeks, and the upfit is 220-240 days. <br />We feel confident that we may deliver within approximately 360 days from confirmation of order. <br />1.18 Inspection Visits. With COVID, our factory policies in production is no visitors to the production floor. <br />This is for the safety of the employees. To remove a vehicle from production causes a downstream delay in other <br />customer vehicles. We have successfully employed video and photographic "visits" with interaction from the <br />factor for mid -point inspections. We will allow delivery inspection as we have a separate controlled building <br />where precautions are fully implemented. We will provide the final inspection for 2 members. <br />1.23 Wheeled Coach standard headroom is 72". To remain cost conscious, we will remain with our standard. <br />2.0 Chassis Specification. Wheeled Coach will take full exception to the Specification provided as many of the <br />parameters requested are antiquated and at times no longer offered by Freightliner. Wheeled Coach, as a part or <br />REV Ambulance Group, will provide the standard Wheeled Coach Freightliner specification which meets the <br />scope and intent while reducing the costs to provide value. The Specification is provided in the response and will <br />be a 2022 Model Year. <br />4.9 Federal PA 4000 replaces the 3000. We will provide the 4000 <br />4.3 Equivalent provided. Part is proprietary to PL Custom standard construction. <br />6.0 Any exception taken in section 6.0, 7.0,8.0, 16.0 relative to construction characteristics, is due to the <br />proprietary design from PL Custom. Wheeled Coach has the most tested module in the industry, and has <br />conducted the industries first live side impact test, which is included in the response. This test clearly documents <br />the durability, as well as the occupant safety which no other manufacturer has duplicated. We believe our <br />modular construction is superior to the specification provided. Our response describes fully the Wheeled Coach <br />modular construction. (Incl. 6.3, 6.4, 6.7, 6.11, 6.12, 6.13, 6.21, 7.1,7.2, 8.3, 16.1) <br />6.8 Wheeled Coach standard compartment depth is 18.5" deep. Our module width is 95" .We will provide our <br />standard to remain cost conscious, and value driven. <br />6.18 Wheeled Coach interior door panels are stainless upper and lower. To apply mica to this would allow for <br />the potential of cracking and damage. ( Incl 6.22) <br />6.19 The Stepwell light is recessed into the stepwell to reduce obstruction. <br />6.25 , 6.26 Cleer Vision is proprietary to PL Custom.
