City of South Bend Central Services Division <br />Fire Service, Inc./Wheeled Coach Ambulance <br />Specification <br />by the purchaser. The installed medical oxygen piping shall be leak tested to 80 <br />PSI. After the successful completion of piping test, the system shall be <br />completely assembled and the flow rate of the outlets tested with the system <br />pressurized at normal working pressure. The system shall be capped then <br />tagged with date and signature of person and firm performing the tests. <br />SOUND DEADENING <br />The entire interior of the module body shall be sprayed the Dolphin HydroArmor <br />rubberized undercoating. A sprayable, corrosion preventing, non-flammable, latex <br />coatings designed to reduce sound transmission through a variety of substrates <br />including cold rolled steel, galvanized steel, stainless steel, primed steel, <br />aluminum, fiberglass and plywood. <br />Tests of HydroArmor 7775 and 7778 show these coatings are extremely durable <br />under even the worst service conditions. HydroArmor 7775 and 7778 coated <br />panels have been tested to several days at 250' F and to immersion in acidic and <br />caustic solutions; these tests did not affect the dried film. Exposure to anti -freeze, <br />motor oil, transmission fluid, and washer fluid did not affect the corrosion <br />protection of the coating. Rocks bounced off the coating when test panels were <br />subjected to the "Gravelometer" at -40' C. After weeks of exterior exposure <br />cycling, the HydroArmor coating remains intact and there is no adhesion loss. <br />VEHICLE BODY AND PATIENT AREA <br />BODY ACCOMMODATIONS <br />The ambulance body and patient compartment shall be sufficient in size to meet <br />the requirements of paragraph 3.10.1 of Federal Specification KKK -A- I 822-F. <br />The interior layout shall be such that a technician can administer life support <br />treatments to at least one person during transport.
