City of South Bend Central Services Division <br />Fire Service, Inc./Wheeled Coach Ambulance <br />Specification <br />FUEL TANK COVER <br />A .090 aluminum diamond plate fuel tank cover shall be installed. The cover <br />shall include two gator grip steps to enable the user to access the cab. <br />CURBSIDE CAB STEPS <br />Two gator grip steps shall be installed on the passenger side of the cab to allow <br />for easy entry into the cab. <br />HEATER HOSES <br />Nomax heater hoses shall be installed. <br />ENVIRONMENTAL SYSTEMS <br />The ambulance shall be equipped with heating, ventilating, and air conditioning <br />systems that operate using re -circulated air and ambient air and shall be capable <br />of maintaining interior temperature within the established comfort zone of 68 <br />degrees Fahrenheit to 78 degrees Fahrenheit while operating between 0 degrees <br />and 95 degrees Fahrenheit ambient. Environmental system components shall be <br />readily accessible for servicing at the installed location. The airflow selector <br />switch shall provide a high, medium and low setting. The switch shall be a <br />common switch for both the heater and air conditioner. These environmental <br />control switches shall be immediately accessible to the attendant while seated in <br />the primary attendant seat located at the head of the primary patient. <br />The module control thermostat shall be located on a removable panel above the <br />action wall. The system shall automatically maintain the set module temperature <br />every time the vehicle is operated. The combo air conditioning /heating shall be <br />located in the top of the right front cabinet There shall be a bottom mounted <br />condenser integrated in the HVAC system to increase the efficiency of the <br />system. The condenser shall be a Hoseline BMC 1006. The condenser shall have <br />dual 12" fans and provide 2564 CFM and 45,000 BTU's. <br />10070-0003 11 /05/20 <br />4 <br />
