dom ic iled in the State of Indiana so that local service can be assured . <br />1.11 WITHDRAWAL OF BID <br />A Bidder may withdraw a bid any time prior to expiration of the period du ring which <br />bids may be submitted by a written request signed in the same manner and by the <br />same person who signed the Proposal. No bid may be withdrawn, modified, or <br />otherwise changed once the bids have been opened. It will be assumed that each <br />Bidder has thorough ly and completely familiarized themselves with these <br />specifications at the time of the bid . Modifications to a bid, once submitted will not be <br />permitted . Simply stated, if any item, feature, options, etc. Is not stated in writing in <br />the Bidder's proposa l, it will not be cons idered. Bidde rs are cautione d that verba l or <br />written modifications to already opened bids will not be va lid, nor cons idered ethical <br />and the comparison and selection of bid award will proceed only from what is stated <br />in Bidder's written proposal. <br />1.12 AUTHORITY TO PURCHASE FROM EXISTING CONTRACTS <br />All bidders subm itti ng a response to this Invitation to Bid or Request for P roposal <br />agree that such response also constitutes a bid to all governmental agencies under <br />t he same condit ions , for the same con t ract price , and for t he same effective period <br />as this bid, should the bidder feel it is i n the ir best interest to do so . <br />Each governmental agency desiring to accept these bids and make an award thereof <br />shall do so independently of any other governmental agency. Each agency shall be <br />responsible for its own purchases and each shall be liable only for materials and I or <br />services ordered and received by it, and no agency assumes any liability by virtue of <br />this bid . This agreement in no way restricts or interferes w ith the right of any <br />governmental agency to bid any or a ll items . <br />Bids will be made ava ila ble to other mun icipal and governmenta l agen ci es within the <br />Un ited States of America . Un it purchases after a period of one year wil l be adjusted <br />to reflect to the established Producers Price Index (PP!), U.S. Labor Dept., Bureau of <br />Statistics, Series PCU3713 # 2A, Emergency Vehicles. <br />1.13 ENGINEERING CAPABILITY <br />To demonstrate your company's abilities and t o show underst anding of the written <br />bid specifications , each manufacturer must subm it with the bid , scale drawin gs of the <br />vehicle it proposes to supply. Drawings must be "design and construct" drawi ngs <br />that will be used in the manufacture of the vehicle . At a minimum they must show <br />overall dimensions, c ompartment sizes, lighting package, and major specified <br />options. The drawing s should show the front, rear, right side, and the left side of the <br />exterior. They should also include the interior bulkhead, street side, curb side <br />cabinet plans and the interior f loor plan layout. T he reproduction of the drawing <br />furn ished with the bid wi ll not be acceptable as each manufacturer utilizes different <br />materia l sizes and const ru ction techniques. <br />y /N_ <br />v---6__ <br />y~-
