22.5 SQUAD BENCH <br /> <br />A squad bench seat with two (2) individual seating positions and two (2) VALOR A- <br />VAL, or equal, shelf mount back frames with internal bolsters will be installed on the <br />curb side of the patient compartment. There shall be two (2) seat belts shall consist <br />of four (4) point/four (4) retractors single click internal mount belt system. The squad <br />bench seats shall be KKK-A-1822F Change Notice 8 compliant and conform to all <br />applicable FMVSS and SAE J3026 requirements. Documentation from a certified <br />independent testing facility shall be required stating the seating configuration has <br />passed SAE J3026 requirements and tested in accordance with SAE J2917, <br />Occupant Restraint and Equipment Mounting Integrity – Frontal Impact System-Level <br />Ambulance Patient Compartment and SAE J2956, Occupant Restraint and <br />Equipment Mounting Integrity – Side Impact System-Level Ambulance Patient <br />Compartment. The VALOR A-VAL shelf mount back frames and the bench shall be <br />padded and covered with cushioned, color coordinated, cut and sewn vinyl. A <br />storage area shall be provided in the squad bench base under the lift up cushion. <br />The squad bench base shall be constructed of .90” thick aluminum for maximum <br />storage capacity and minimum weight. The interior of the squad bench shall be <br />sprayed with sound absorbing polyurethane material. <br /> Y___N___ <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />22.6 REINFORCED SAFETY NET <br /> <br />A reinforced safety net shall be located at the head of the squad bench. The <br />sharp/waste container shall be on tip out, door at head of bench facing the aisle and <br />easily accessible from the front of the squad bench. The sharp/waste container size <br />and placement shall match the Department’s newest ambulance. <br /> Y___N___ <br />22.7 OXYGEN BOTTLE STORAGE <br /> <br />A single oxygen bottle storage system shall be provided and installed at the side of <br />the ALS cabinet, in the bottom of the health center. It shall provide vertical storage <br />of one (1) "D" size oxygen bottle. Cast brackets will be used to house customer's <br />bottle. <br /> Y___N___ <br />22.8 ADDITIONAL OXYGEN BOTTLE STORAGE <br /> <br />A double oxygen bottle storage system shall be provided and installed against the <br />front wall of the D1 compartment. It shall provide vertical storage of two (2) "D" size <br />oxygen bottles. Cast brackets will be used to house customer's bottles. <br /> Y___N___ <br />22.8.1 A single oxygen bottle storage system shall be provided and installed against <br />the front wall of the D1 compartment. It shall provide vertical storage of one (1) "D" <br />size oxygen bottle. Cast brackets will be used to house customer's bottles. <br /> Y___N___ <br /> <br />22.9 SQUAD BENCH CABINET <br /> <br />A cabinet shall be located over the squad bench at the ceiling level, rearward of the <br />entry/egress door opening. This cabinet shall be divided into three (3) separate <br />sections. The cabinet shall be finished in the same material as the rest of the interior <br />cabinets. This cabinet shall be compliant with the KKK 1822 revision F specification. <br /> Y___N___
