Test Lab <br />AL ACC Climate Control, Inc. <br />AM D STANDARD 004 (REV F) <br />Litter Retention System Static Test <br />AM D004 <br />32 of 43 <br />Tested For: AEV Temperature: 71 °F <br />Date: 1211612013 Humidity: 28% <br />Chassis: N/A <br />Type: 1, or Ill <br />VIN: Raw Module - N/A <br />Test Set -Up <br />1 $4 Find out from the client if the litter retentions are all mounted in the same location if not each <br />location must be tested. <br />2 $4 The ambulance floor shall be tested in the horizontal plane. <br />Construct the framework necessary to apply proper load to the litter retention mounts. <br />a Attach the testing device to the litter retention system in such a way to minimalize any friction <br />with the floor or cabinets. <br />5 $4 Attach a tension load cell to a pivot point located on the test device located to simulate the <br />center of the cot and 15 inches above the floor. <br />Procedures & Test Results <br />The litter retention system, anchorages, and litter fasteners must not fail or release when <br />subjected to a force of 2,200 lbs. applied in the longitudinal, lateral, and vertical direction. <br />Each test is performed separately. <br />5.1 Apply an initial vertical upward load to the device and then as rapidly as possible apply load <br />to the full force. 2548 (Ibs) maximum load applied (comment on any deformation to <br />the floor, cabinets, or retention mechanism). <br />5.2 If any parts are damaged replace before doing the next test. <br />5.3 Apply an initial longitudinal load to the device and then as rapidly as possible apply load to <br />the full force. 2438 (Ibs) maximum load applied (comment on any deformation to the <br />floor, cabinets, or retention mechanism). <br />5.4 If any parts are damaged replace before doing the next test. <br />5.5 Apply an initial lateral load to the device and then as rapidly as possible apply load to the full <br />force. 2439 (Ibs) maximum load applied (comment on any deformation to the floor, <br />cabinets, or retention mechanism). <br />6.1 The Litter Retention system tested passes the AMD004 tests. <br />***Rotation or Deformation of retention mechanisms does not constitute failure. <br />17.1 24 Take pictures of test procedure for documentation. <br />Automotive Climate Control • 22428 Elkhart East Blvd. • P.O.
