6.26 Exception – No window is available UNLESS the City would consider switching CS bench to CS
safety seat as the structural needs in the CS wall need crash rails to mount seat belts to. If the window
was present, the crash rails would run straight thru the window. This is acceptable ONLY if a CS safety
seat is built
6.27 Exception – No whiteboard, see note on 6.26 above.
7.1 Exception - MATERIALS: Unless specified otherwise, all exterior compartment walls and backs
will be constructed of .100 polished aluminum diamond plate. All compartment floors will be formed of
.125 aluminum sheet. Compartments for generators, oxygen, and backboards will have .250
compartment floors. All compartment ceilings will be formed of .090 aluminum sheet. The ceilings and
floors will form around the sides and back to provide an overlapping joint. The floor and ceiling surfaces
will be double action (DA) sanded to 180 grit. The floors and ceilings are bonded to the walls and back
and intermittent welded on six (6) inch centers.

DRAIN HOLES: Drain holes will be provided on the bottom of the compartments. Each hole will be
baffled to prevent splash water from entering the compartment.

COMPARTMENT FLOOR CONFIGURATION: This compartment floor will be a sweep out type floor. The
compartment floor will be flush with the lower door jamb to facilitate compartment floor cleaning. The
edge of the compartment floor will be continuously welded to the lower door jamb. Heat generated
from welding will not distort the straightness or flatness of the jamb or compartment floor. The weld
quality must be aesthetically uniform.

COMPARTMENT FLOOR THICNESS: The compartment floor will be .125 inch thick aluminum of single
layer.

VENTILATION: There will be a hole in the compartment below floor line approximately 5-3/8"wide x 2-
9/32"tall that will accept a specially designed baffled vent. The baffles will have a stainless steel spring
that allow for only one way operation. They allow air to escape out of the compartment when the door
is closed, but not for air to come back into the compartment to keep dirt and dust out of the
compartment interior. Engineering will determine the amount of these vents required by the volume of
space in the compartment.

7.2 Exception – Tri-Mark 1875 handle used instead
7.3 Exception – Custom AEV STAMPED Louvres used instead of aftermarket vents to help cut down
on possible corrosion areas and electrolosis
7.13.1 Exception – M1A compartment above O2 compartment to completely seal off any electrical
from O2, and give more room in M2 compartment
7.13.2 Exception – FW-559 hooks used instead as they are heavier and more durable
7.18 Exception – White reflective tape & standard LED POB lights on each compartment exterior and
interior door
7.19 Exception – 18” grab rail
