A map box and three (3) latex glove box holders and trash receptacle shall be <br />provided and installed on the cab floor, between the driver and passenger seating <br />positions. It shall be easily accessible by either the driver or passenger. Exact <br />design shall be the same as the Department’s newest ambulances. <br /> Y___N___ <br />2.12 BATTERY SWITCH <br /> <br />A battery switch is to be installed. This system will open the power circuit from the <br />batteries to the main circuit board and interrupt power to all conversion functions. <br /> Y___N___ <br /> <br />2.13 TIRE FILL EXTENSIONS <br /> <br />Dicor stainless steel braided fill extensions shall be provided on both inside and <br />outside rear tires of the dual rear wheel vehicle. <br /> Y___N___ <br />2.14 MIRRORS <br /> <br />Side mounted rear view mirrors shall be provided with chrome, polished finish. They <br />shall incorporate both flat and standard convex heads. The primary mirror shall be at <br />least 16.5” x 7” in dimension, and the convex head at least 8” in dimension. Mirror <br />assemblies shall attach to the body utilizing breakaway-type brackets. Mirrors shall <br />be electrically operated and heated. <br /> Y___N___ <br />3.0 VEHICLE WIRING <br /> <br />All insulated cable shall conform to SAE J1292 requirements and shall have type <br />GXL high temperature thermoplastic insulation conforming to SAE J1127 and J1128. <br />All wire shall be of a gauge size to carry 125% of the current required by the specific <br />circuit without overheating. All wires are to be color coded and stamped with the <br />function of the circuit every four [4] inches for the continuous length of the line. <br />Where practical or required, all wires shall be routed in high temperature looms with <br />a rating of 300 degrees Fahrenheit. All conductors shall be annealed copper with <br />machine crimps. Wiring harnesses shall be assembled and warranted by the vehicle <br />manufacturer. This system must meet or exceed AMD Standard 005, Ambulance <br />12-Volt DC Electrical System. <br /> Y___N___ <br />3.1 ALTERNATOR <br /> <br />One (1) internally regulated and internally rectified LN 12-volt 270-amp alternator <br />shall be supplied. The alternator must be covered by the Leece Neville warranty. <br /> Y___N___ <br /> <br />3.2 WIRING MODULE <br /> <br />An angled cabinet forward of the rear facing Technician’s seat shall house the main <br />bank of electrical components. Solenoids, relays, circuit breakers, etc. shall be on <br />the electrical distribution panel behind a ventilated door measuring approximately 55" <br />high x 18" wide. This door shall hinge on the left side for ease of access for <br />maintenance and repair and shall have a SouthCo flip-latch to secure it in the closed <br />position. Adequate ventilation shall be supplied through two (2) polished metal, <br />louvered vents located near the top and bottom of the door. <br /> Y___N___ <br /> <br />
