COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA APPROPRIATING $1,000.00 FROM THE LEEPER PARK TREE REPLACEMENT FUND STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT The City of South Bend, Park Department, on December 12, 1992, was awarded a $4515.00 grant from the State of Indiana to be used for the planting of trees throughout and around the. City of South Bend. In order to qualify for this grant, the Park Department was required to contribute $1,000 of its own funds towards the planting project. An appropriation of $1,000.00 is needed from the Leeper. Park. Tree Replacement Fund to provide the matching funds required_ undex the State' s grant program. The $1,000.00 will be used to plant trees around the maintenance building at Leeper Park as a screen to enhance the appearance of the park. The grant money was deposited in the Park Maintenance Fund and will be used to plant trees in other parks: according to the terms and conditions of the grant.. NOW, THEREFORE.,. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE. CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, AS FOLLOWS: SECTION I. That the following funds shall be_, and hereby are, appropriated and set apart from the following account within the Leeper Park Tree Replacement Fund.: LEEPER PARK TREE REPLACEMENT FUND (FUND 720) Account Description: Amount: Other Charges and Services $1,000.00 SECTION II. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage by the Common Council and approval. by the Mayor. Member, Soup Bend Common Council.
