High Street , City of South Bend - APC #1440-92 Dear Council Members: The above referenced ordinance and site development plan of Hebrew Orthodox Congregation was legally advertised February 6, 1992 and February 8, 1992. The Area Plan Commission at its public hearing on February 18, 1992, took the following action: Upon a motion by Harold Means, being seconded by Lee Slavinskas and unanimously carried, the proposed ordinance and site development plan of Hebrew Orthodox Congregation to zone from "A" Residential , "A" Height and Area to "B" Residential, "A" Height and Area, property located at 3207 S. High Street, City of South Bend is sent to the Common Council with a favorable recommendation, subject to final site development plan. "B" Residential zoning has already been established to the south of the subject property. The proposed uses would not be significantly different from those presently occurring on this site, and would be similar to those occurring across the street at the Stanley Clark School. Rezoning this property to "B" Residential would not have a negative impact on the surrounding neighborhood. PLEASE NOTE that the Petition and Ordinance has been amended by the petitioner and is different than that used for the Common Council 's first reading.
