This is EXHIBIT A, consisting of 11 pages, referred to in and part of the Agreement between Owner and Engineer for Professional Services dated , 2020. Engineer's Services Article 1 of the Agreement is supplemented to include the following agreement of the parties. Engineer shall provide Basic and Additional Services as set forth below. PART 1— BASIC SERVICES A1.01 Project Scope The proposed project consists designing traffic improvements at the Mayflower Road and Sample Street intersection to reduce current number of accidents. A capacity analysis of the existing intersection will be done to determine the improvements needed for traffic signal assignments and lane requirements. The left turn lanes will be realigned to be directly opposing one another removing the existing offset to provide better visabilty of the on coming traffic. A new traffic signal system will be designed to replace the existing aged system. The new traffic lane configuration will be analyized for large truck turning movents on the existing pavement structure. The project limits include 600 feet from the center of the Mayflower Road and Sample Street intersection. The design of proposed improvements will include the following: A topographic survey locating visable existing features within the right of way. Existing right of way within the project limits will be determined using recorded deeds, plats, and field monumentation. A Location Control Route Survey will be developed to establish the existing right of way for this project. Utility field locations will be requested and the locates will be made part of the topographic survey. When the survey is plotted it will be sent to all utilites of record for verification. A traffic analysis will be performed and presented for the intersection along with lane assignments, signal timings and to determine if actutation is necessary. Vehicle turning movements will be checked for large trucks. If additional pavement is required to support the large truck tuning movements it will be designed in a future project and will be an additional service. A1.02 Preliminary Design Phase A.
