All rights reserved. <br />This is EXHIBIT A, consisting of 17 pages, referred to in and part of the Agreement between <br />Owner and Engineer for Professional Services dated , . <br />Engineer’s Services <br />Article 1 of the Agreement is supplemented to include the following agreement of the parties. <br />Engineer shall provide Basic and Additional Services as set forth below. <br />PART 1 – BASIC SERVICES <br />A1.01 Design, Bid and Construction Phase Services <br />A. Engineer’s services under the Study and Report Phase will be considered complete on the date <br />when the revised Report and any other deliverables have been delivered to Owner. Standard text <br />deleted and new text inserted. <br />PHASE 1 - DESIGN AND BID PHASE SERVICES <br />Task 101 – Project Meetings <br />Engineer will attend up to a total of three project meetings with the Owner. The meetings will <br />be held with the Owner at the North WTP site in South Bend, Indiana to update the Owner on <br />project progress and obtain feedback on intermediate deliverables. The kickoff meeting will be <br />held with the Owner to discuss the goals and objectives of the project, to establish the lines of <br />communication, as well as gather data necessary to prepare the design documents. Up to two <br />progress meetings will be held to review the design and status of the project. Meetings will <br />correspond with the Basis of Design Memorandum/30 percent completion milestone and 90 <br />percent completion milestone. The kickoff meeting will be attended at the site by the project <br />manager, engineering manager and process engineer. The project manager and engineering <br />manager will attend the two design progress meetings. <br />Task 102 – Water Quality Evaluation <br />Engineer will review up to twelve months of the following data: <br />Recent raw water quality data for the North WTP supply wells, <br />Raw water quality data for the North WTP supply wells from a time period when <br />the plant was achieving their goals for finished water manganese, <br />Pretreatment chemical usage data, <br />Filter effluent chlorine residual data, and <br />Plant effluent manganese data and turbidity data. <br />Engineer will develop a testing protocol for the City to collect 2-months of Manganese <br />speciation data for Engineer’s review. All data will be provided by the Owner in Excel format.
