To qualify for a new license, an applicant <br /> must earn a score of not less than seventy-five (75) percent correct <br /> ATIWOWtO on a written examination to be given by the Board. The <br /> examination shall consist of not less than twenty-five ( 25) questions <br /> testing the applicant' knowledge of the Indiana Electrical Xya04 <br /> Code and the provisions of this article covering the areas of <br /> electrical work involved in the license applied for. The Department <br /> shall keep a complete record of each examination for three ( 3) years <br /> after the examination. An applicant who fails to pass an examination <br /> may be reexamined not earlier than the next scheduled examination <br /> upon submitting a new application in compliance with this article. <br /> An applicant who passes the examination shall not be required to <br /> retake the examination to obtain a license renewal, if he meets the <br /> renewal requirements of subsection (h) ( 2) below. <br /> (e) Surety bond. Each applicant for a Class A. license must also <br /> provide a surety bond, payable to the City in the penal sum of five <br /> thousand dollars ($5,000.00) , subject to the approval of the <br /> Controller and conditioned upon faithful compliance with the <br /> provisions of the building code as it pertains to the regulation of <br /> electrical work and apparatus and agreeing to pay all damages, costs <br /> and expenses caused by the negligence of the licensee through failure <br /> to comply with such provisions. <br /> (f) Issuance of certificate: <br /> (1) The Board shall examine the application, the <br /> accompanying documentation and other information provided, <br /> nnA chm l l rcr'ntnmand to t-h runt rnl 1 P_r the <br />
