Guarantee employment, continued employment, or terms or conditions of employment. <br />Affect Reynolds Construction’s right to manage its workplace, or to discipline its employees and <br />they being: <br /> Any employee suspected of appropriating or participating in the collection of a fraudulent <br />sample after being requested to produce one for testing, or any employee in collusion <br />regarding the appropriation of a fraudulent sample will be immediately terminated from <br />active employment with the company. <br /> When an employee is requested to render a sample for the purpose of testing, he or she <br />shall leave immediately for the collection site without stopping any place between his or <br />her job site and the assigned collection site. Violation of this shall result in disciplinary <br />action depending on the gravity of the violation and situation. <br /> Never during the collection of any requested sample shall the employees being tested be <br />allowed to consort or fraternize with other employees or individuals without a recognized <br />attendant being present or giving approval. Violation of this shall result in disciplinary <br />action depending on the gravity of the violation and situation. <br />DEFINITIONS: <br />To insure common understanding of terms, the following definitions shall be consistently used: <br />Breath Alcohol Technician (BAT): This is an individual trained in operation of an evidential <br />breath-testing device used for alcohol testing under these regulations. Law enforcement officers <br />who have been certified by state or local governments to conduct breath alcohol tests are <br />qualified as BAT’s provided the officer has been certified on the evidential breath testing device <br />being used for the test. <br />Consent Form: All employees in the company must sign a consent form for drug, alcohol and <br />substance abuse testing. The separate part of that form authorizes us to obtain information for <br />DOT type drivers on their previous drug test for the past two (2) years for prior employment. In <br />accordance with the new federal law, the driver’s previous employers must furnish reports of any <br />positive test(s) and/or refusals. That information must be obtained prior to a new driver ever <br />being placed behind the wheel of a company vehicle. <br />He/His: As used in this policy, the terms he or his are similar masculine pronouns and that shall <br />be construed to include the feminine alternatives of said pronouns.
