FINANCIAL APPROACH CITY OF SOUTH BEND: PINHOOK WTP IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT GUARANTEED SAVINGS CONTRACT MAXIMIZING THE CONTINGENCY While maintaining the GMP that we provide, we will be working diligently to increase the contingency that the City can use to complete additional work. Our efforts will include: Create an overall site plan that shows the sequencing required for the project Generate excitement about the project within our vendor base in advance of soliciting their quotes Solicit the input of electrical contractors early in the design process to gain their interest in the project Solicit a minimum of 3 quotes for all commodities, equipment, and subcontracts Create a project schedule that is achievable by all parties, avoids overtime, and minimizes risks due to weather Reynolds owns $17 Million in Be organized and professional so vendors know they can construction assets bid confidently (and aggressively) Conduct “interviews” with key subcontractors to ensure they have the resources to execute their work GMP APPROACH WITH NO CHANGE ORDERS C. Explain how the Provider plans to offer a Guaranteed Maximum Price, with no change orders, for this project. Our pricing Guarantee starts with a reliable estimate created by our experienced estimating team. Using the design documents created by American Structurepoint, we will create an organized budget and opinion of probable cost for the project at the 30% design phase. We will refine it at the 60% phase and provide a detailed estimate for each specification section like the one shown below for Division 11 of a previous project. Sticking with our commitment to complete transparency, we give our clients visibility into the detailed costs for each structure and system including the rationale and value for the contingency. Reynolds will invest the time to make sure the contingency budget for each element of the project is appropriate. We will include this budget within the GMP and guarantee that the contract will not exceed the GMP due to change orders that we or the owner request.
