indicated that the discrimination may extend beyond the actions reviewed, <br />such corrective action shall include all affected persons. <br />(4) The Company will investigate all complaints of alleged discrimination <br />made to it ,in connection with its obligations under its contracts and will <br />attempt to resolve such complaints, and will take appropriate corrective <br />action. If the investigation indicates that the discrimination may affect <br />persons other than the complainant, such corrective action shall include <br />such other persons. Upon completion of each investigation, the Company <br />will inform every complainant of all of his avenues of appeal. <br />7. Training and Promotion <br />A. The Company will assist in locating, qualifying and increasing the skills of <br />minority and female employees and applicants for employment. <br />B. Consistent with its manpower requirements and as permissible under Federal <br />and State regulations, the Company will make full use of training programs,' <br />i.e., pre -apprenticeship, apprenticeship,; and/or on-the-job training programs <br />for the geographical area of contract performance. <br />C. The Company will advise employees and applicants for employment of <br />available training programs and entrance requirements for each to the extent <br />that this Company ; is aware of such training programs and entrance <br />requirements. <br />D. The Company will periodically review the training and promotion potential of <br />minority and female group employees and will encourage eligible employees <br />to apply for such training and 'promotion. Minority and female'; groups are <br />referred to as "protected groups". <br />8. Unions <br />The Company will use its best efforts to obtain the cooperation of the unions with <br />which it has contracted relations to increase "protected group" opportunities <br />within the unions and to effect referrals ;by such union of "protected group" <br />employees. Actions by the Company, either directly or through its association <br />acting as his agent, will include the procedures set forth below: <br />(1) Use its best effort to develop, in cooperation with the unions, joint training <br />programs aimed toward qualifying more protected group members for <br />membership in the unions and increasing the skills of protected group <br />employees so that they may have the opportunity to qualify for higher <br />paying employment. <br />(2) Use its best efforts to encourage the incorporation of an equal <br />employment` opportunity clause into all union agreements to the end that <br />such unions will be contractually bound to refer applicants without regard <br />to their race, color, religion, sex, or national origin." <br />
