Trick or treat in familiar neighborhoods. <br /> 2. Only visit houses that are well light and porch lights are on(South Bend residents <br /> are aware that to participate in trick or treating porch lights are to remain on). <br /> 3. Trick or treaters should travel in groups and be accompanied by parents or <br /> guardians. <br /> 4. Do not eat open candy and before consuming candy parents or guardians should <br /> look it over well. <br /> 5. Wearing masks create blind spots and should fit well for better visibility(use face <br /> paint as an alternative). <br /> 6. Wear visible costumes or reflective tape to be seen and to stand out in the dark. <br /> 7. Carry a flash light or glow stick for better visibility. <br /> The Fire and Police Departments will also host Fun Fest Monday, October 29th from 5:00 <br /> p.m. to 7:00 in the garage of the main police station at 701 W. Sample Street.
