ORDINANCE NO. <� -3-/ e <br /> AN ORDINANCE. OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, APPROPRIATING $5,600.00 FROM <br /> HAZ-MAT FUND #289 FOR THE PURCHASE OF EQUIPMENT <br /> STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT <br /> Due to unforeseen circumstances, it has become necessary to <br /> defray expenses within the Fire Department budget with an <br /> appropriation of Five Thousand. Six Hundred Dollars ($5,600.00) from <br /> Haz-Mat Fund #289 which sum shall be used to purchase certain <br /> equipment necessary to the operation of the Fire Department's Haz-Mat. <br /> operations. <br /> The City has continued to generate increased revenue from the. <br /> E.M.S. Bureau to support the capital needs of both the Fire. <br /> Department and E.M.S. This appropriation has been included in our <br /> projections as well as our five-year Capital Improvement plan. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE.,. BE. IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE. CITY <br /> OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA AS FOLLOWS: <br /> Section I. The following sum of money is hereby appropriated and <br /> ordered set apart from Haz-Mat Fund #289 for the items set forth <br /> below: <br /> ACCOUNT NO. DESCRIPTION AMOUNT <br /> 289.0901.422.4305 Fire Equipment <br /> Emergency Lights (Haz-Mat Trailer) $ 735.00 <br /> Kiddy Pools (Decontamination) 200.00 <br /> Romex Suits 8 @ $200.00 1,600.00 <br /> Portable Radios 2 @ 1,100.00 2,200.00 <br /> Intercom System (between trailer <br /> and truck) 500.00 <br /> Books & Miscellaneous 365.00 <br /> $5,600. 00 <br /> Section II. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect <br /> from and after its passage by the Common Council and approval by the <br /> Mayor. <br /> - <br /> Memb r o e Common Council <br />
