.. • <br /> . <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 12 ' /44R <br /> AN ORDINANCE OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br /> OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, ANNEXING TO THE CITY OF <br /> SOUTH BEND CERTAIN TERRITORY CONTIGUOUS THEREWITH <br /> STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT <br /> The Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana, has <br /> determined that it is in the best interest of the City of South Bend. <br /> to annex and bring within the corporate limits of the City of South <br /> Bend certain territory that is contiguous with the City of South <br /> Bend. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br /> OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, as follows: <br /> SECTION I. That the following described real estate situated in <br /> St. Joseph County, Indiana, being contiguous by more than one-fourth <br /> (1/4) of its aggregate external boundaries with the present <br /> boundaries of the City of South Bend, Indiana, shall be and hereby is <br /> annexed to and brought within the City of South Bend, Indiana: <br /> A parcel of land being a part of the Northeast Quarter of <br /> Section 32, Township 38 North, Range 3 East, Clay Township, <br /> St. Joseph County, Indiana, being more particularly <br /> described as follows.: <br /> Beginning at the Northeast corner of the Northeast Quarter <br /> of said Section 32; <br /> Thence, West along the North Section Line of said Section 32 <br /> a distance of 465 feet, more or less, to the Northwest <br /> corner of property described as St. Joseph County, Indiana <br /> Tax Key Number 02-2023-0548.08; <br /> Thence, South a distance of 752.75 feet along the West line <br /> of said Tax Key Number 02-2023-0548.08 to the Southwest <br /> corner of said Tax Key Number 02-2023-0548.08, also being <br /> the Northeast corner of Tax Key Number 02-2023-0548.13; <br /> Thence, South a distance of 561.44 feet along the East line <br /> of said Tax Key Number 02-2023-0548.13 and Tax Key Number <br /> 02-2023-0548.05 to the Southeast corner of said Tax Key <br /> Number 02-2023-0548.05; <br /> Thence, East a distance of 218 feet, more or less, along the <br /> North line of said Tax Key Number 02-2023-0549, also being a <br /> South Bend City Limit, to the Northeast corner of said Tax <br /> Key Number 02-2023-0549; <br /> Thence, South a distance of 1321.70 feet along the East line <br /> of said Tax Key Number 02-2023-0549, also being a South Bend <br /> City Limit, to the Centerline of Hepler Road, also being the. <br /> South line of the said Northeast 1/4 of Section 32, T38N, <br /> R3E and a South Bend City Limit; <br /> Thence. East a Distance of 245.00 feet. more or less. along <br />
