The event will take place <br /> from 10:00 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Martin Luther King Jr. Recreation Center at <br /> 1522 W. Linden St. <br /> A number of local animal welfare organizations will host a low cost vaccine and <br /> microchip clinic to assist pet owners with affordable services. The event will offer micro <br /> chipping, rabies and distemper vaccinations for$5 apiece. There will also be information <br /> on low cost spay/neuter services available at the event. <br /> The following sponsors of the of the event include South Bend Animal Care and Control, <br /> Heartland Small Animal Rescue, Pet Refuge, CARE of South Bend, Casa Del Toro, The <br /> Humane Society of the United States and Linda's Camp K9. The South Bend Animal <br /> Care & Control Office and Community Animal Rescue Effort of South Bend also <br /> acknowledge the support of the doctors and staff at Kryder Veterinary Clinic and <br /> University Park Veterinary Hospital for volunteering their time and efforts for the event. <br /> For participation, all dogs must be on a leash and all cats in a carrier. This is a cash only <br /> event.
