• <br /> • <br /> • <br /> • <br /> South Bend Police Salary Ordinance <br /> Page 3 <br /> (1)Hazardous Duty Pays: <br /> Officers and sworn members who work in hazardous duty areas, shall be entitled to <br /> the following pay for such assigned and designated specialties: <br /> 1993 1994 <br /> Special Weapons and $500 $500 <br /> Tactics(SWAT) <br /> K-9 Units $500 $500 <br /> Bomb Technicians $500 $500 <br /> Hostage Negotiators $500 $500 <br /> Special Operations $500 $500 <br /> Section (SOS) <br /> SOS Undercover $1400 $1500 <br /> River Rescue* $ 450 $ 500 <br /> N.E.S.T. $ 450 $ 500 <br /> * Said hazardous duty pay shall only be paid in the event that a search/rescue and <br /> enforcement team is established. <br /> (g)Gun/Radio Allowance: <br /> Each officer and sworn member shall be entitled to the following gun/radio <br /> allowance: <br /> 1993 1994 <br /> $200.00 $500.00 <br /> (h) Clothing Allowance: <br /> Officers and sworn members shall receive the following annual clothing allowance. <br /> One-half (1/2) of the annual sums listed shall be paid on or before June 15th, with the <br /> remaining one-half (1/2) being paid on or before December 15th of each year. Said <br /> amounts shall be as follows: <br /> 1993 1994 <br /> $900.00 $1,000.00 <br /> Said clothing allowance shall be prorated in any year a sworn member or officer <br /> retires,resigns, or otherwise leaves employment. <br /> (i)Longevity Pay: <br /> Officers and sworn members holding the rank of corporal and above, shall receive <br /> additional compensation in recognition of cumulative service on the South Bend Police <br /> Department. Such longevity pay shall be paid in 1993 and 1994, shall not be attributed to <br /> the annual salary base for pension purposes, shall be paid with regular payroll amounts <br /> throughout these two (2) years, and shall be as follows: <br />
