• • • • South Bend Police Salary Ordinance Page 3 (1)Hazardous Duty Pays: Officers and sworn members who work in hazardous duty areas, shall be entitled to the following pay for such assigned and designated specialties: 1993 1994 Special Weapons and $500 $500 Tactics(SWAT) K-9 Units $500 $500 Bomb Technicians $500 $500 Hostage Negotiators $500 $500 Special Operations $500 $500 Section (SOS) SOS Undercover $1400 $1500 River Rescue* $ 450 $ 500 N.E.S.T. $ 450 $ 500 * Said hazardous duty pay shall only be paid in the event that a search/rescue and enforcement team is established. (g)Gun/Radio Allowance: Each officer and sworn member shall be entitled to the following gun/radio allowance: 1993 1994 $200.00 $500.00 (h) Clothing Allowance: Officers and sworn members shall receive the following annual clothing allowance. One-half (1/2) of the annual sums listed shall be paid on or before June 15th, with the remaining one-half (1/2) being paid on or before December 15th of each year. Said amounts shall be as follows: 1993 1994 $900.00 $1,000.00 Said clothing allowance shall be prorated in any year a sworn member or officer retires,resigns, or otherwise leaves employment. (i)Longevity Pay: Officers and sworn members holding the rank of corporal and above, shall receive additional compensation in recognition of cumulative service on the South Bend Police Department. Such longevity pay shall be paid in 1993 and 1994, shall not be attributed to the annual salary base for pension purposes, shall be paid with regular payroll amounts throughout these two (2) years, and shall be as follows:
