The cab shall be specifically designed and manufactured for thefire <br />service industry. <br />The cab shall be designed by manufacturer’s Engineering to meet the unique, Heavy-duty <br />construction specifications. The rawcab will be fabricated to meet the exacting demand of the <br />fire industry and shall bemanufactured by acompany with no less than 50 years ofexperience in <br />building custom cabs. All aspects of the cab will be quality checked by manufacturer’s <br />personnel. All caband chassis customization and assembly will take place on the manufacturers <br />premises. <br />The cab shall be of a totally enclosed full tilt design, with the interior areacompletely open to <br />improve visibility and verbal communication between the occupants. The cab shall be capable <br />of tilting 45-degrees, allowing the chassis engine to be removed, ifrequired, without tiltingthe <br />cab beyond 45-degrees.No Exceptions. <br />The cab shall include a four (4)-point rubber isolated cab pivot and mounting system. The rear <br />histic mounts shall be isolated from the chassis frame to reduce the transferof road vibrations <br />and frame torque into the cab, while providing superior handling characteristics. No solid <br />mounted rear lock downs shall be acceptable. NoExceptions. <br />The front cab pivot assemblies shall be 1/2" A36 steel plate with a .31" thick 2-1/2" diameter <br />tube cross member mechanically attached to the cab and frame.
